make it happen!
There are things that many of us take for granted: a good night’s sleep, a quick trip to the grocery store, a date night or a vacation. With your help, you can make these things happen for families of children with complex care needs. Pledge your birthday party, create a challenge event, make something to sell – these are all creative ways that you can partner with Matthew’s House and raise funds to support families!
Matthew’s House is funded through a blended partnership between government and private donors. Quality care is costly and Matthew’s House relies on donations from events and generous donations from community groups and people just like you.
We value the support of a faithful and generous community. Get creative and make it happen!
At Priya’s birthday party, she asked friends to bring a donation for Matthew’s House. “I thought of Matthew’s House because I thought that they might need money to help the children,” she says.
Carter created stuffed Roary Bears for the children who stay at Matthew’s House and sold extra bears to raise funds. “I’m hoping that we can raise lots of funds for the kids at Matthew’s House,” Carter says.
Rick, Ray and Linda are all members of The Central Fraser Valley Vintage Car Club, which donated proceeds from their annual car show. “It is an honour to be involved in this event,” Rick says. “We are so fortunate to have Matthew’s House in our neighbourhood.”
When I hear the stories of the difference that Matthew’s House makes to parents and children, it makes me feel really good inside, knowing we can support this unique place. Kourtnie, Run for Rest co-organizer
